Nine Florida homes tainted by the defective Chinese drywall are listed on the popular Realtor.com website at extremely low prices. The homes are priced at under $50,000, but are they worth it? Costs to repair and replace the Chinese Drywall are falling in the $100 thousand range, which does not include the living costs while the home is being repaired.
Defective Chinese drywall puts off a “sulfur like” smell, corrodes metal components and has been reported as causing respiratory problems and other health issues for homeowners living within the house.
With so many homes on the market priced under $100,000 is worth the hassle to invest in a home that is infected with Chinese drywall?
