At a recent seminar at the Hernando County Association of Realtors facility in Brooksville Florida, citizens and Realtors were given some economic facts about the county that were rather startling. The seminar leader pointed out that Hernando County had perhaps the largest retired contingency of government recipients in the country accounting for the annual per capita income of $28500. While our Hernando County boasts a ready and waiting work force and land assets to manage production, our county office of economic development needs to scour the planet for industries that can appreciate our climate, our available workers, and our very affordable housing.
