Florida home sales increase

Home sales in Florida have increased for the ninth month in a row for year to year comparison. The volume of homes sold has increased almost 20% from last year but the value of these homes on average has decreased.Sales have risen to levels not seen since 2006 and I am sure we all hope that this will become a trend that continues into the future. Buyers have found that there are bargains in real estate and are jumping in the market. The $8000.00 first time buyer tax credit is also beginning to have an effect on sales. The interest rate remains lower than last year which is also having a postive influence on single family homes as well as investment properties.
